Pet Day - May 6th, 2017 - Magruder Hall on the Campus of Oregon State University

Oregon State University’s Pet Day Celebration for 2017 is
slated for Saturday, May 6th from 10AM - 3PM. Pet Day is held at Magruder Hall, located on 30th Street just west of the Merritt Truax Indoor Center on the campus of Oregon State University in Corvallis. As usual, Greyhound Pet Adoption - Northwest will have a booth, along with some greyt adoptable Greyhounds. The event is free, though some activities (pony rides, dog wash) will have a nominal fee. Pet Day activities include agility demonstrations, fun run/walk (with or without your pet), games, food, demonstrations, llamas, goats, ponies and dogs, dogs, dogs!

Last year nearly 3,000 folks attended, so this is a greyt chance to educate folks about the joys of life with a Greyhound, as well as a chance to show off your pooch! Yes, leashed dogs are welcome throughout the grounds, though they are not allowed at the indoor exhibits.

Come celebrate the human-animal bond!

Free parking is available across the street in the Reser Stadium lot.

March Greyhound Walk

Sorry for the tardiness of this post!

----------------------------------------

Meet Sunday, March 19, at 1:30 pm at the Jasper
Road Trailhead (3202 Jasper Rd) to walk the
Mill Race path (http://willamalane.org/park/mill-race-path).
You can go left to connect with
the Middle Fork Path and walk along the river OR
go right and follow the path toward downtown
Springfield. You decide because Monica won’t be
joining you.

There is a parking lot; the restrooms
should be open (but don’t count on it!); there is
minimal landscaping thus far so be prepared for
mud along the paved path. Have fun!

Dogs love treats, but wouldn't it be great if you could make your dog work a little more for those tasty treats? Food-dispensing (also known as treat-dispensing) dog toys could help you accomplish that goal. Even better, the mental and physical stimulation food-dispensing dog toys provide may decrease the chances your dog develops boredom-related behavior problems — barking and chewing, for example.
