Greetings Willamette Valley Greyhound Lovers!
The Eugene Celebration Parade is this coming Saturday morning, August 27th. Here is a copy of the staging area for this years parade and here is a link to the parade route. We are #18 so will be on the the west side of Amazon Parkway near Civic Stadium. Please note that this year the parade rout runs from 19th and High north to 11th , west to Pearl and south on Pearl and the aParkway to the Civic Center Parking lot where the parade will disperse. It looks like there will be parking in the South Eugene School parking lot.
The theme of the parade is Raise The Roof (the same as last year.. this year we are not formally wearing costumes).
We need to be ready to go by 9:30am as the parade starts at 10am.
Looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday...

By September, you might be thinking that the summer fun is winding down, but think again! There is still a chance for that one last hurrah before turning off the party lights for the season. Bring all your well-behaved dog friends (not just Greyhounds) to the 5th Street Public Market from 1-3 pm for the 1st Annual Barks & Brews Fiesta, an afternoon
of food, beer, canine games and contests, and a raffle. This festive event is a chance to raise money for Greyhound adoption efforts while enjoying good food, friends, and a little fun. All proceeds benefit Greyhound Pet Adoption Northwest.
Admission is $12, with delicious Mexican hors d’oeuvres provided by El Pato Cafe, and beer from Lagunitas Brewing Company. In honor of the football season opener, dress yourself and your dog in your best Duck Spirit outfit for the Costume Contest. Enter your dog in the Hotdog Bobbing contest, or come down to meet some adoptable retired racing Greyhounds.
