OSU Pet Day! Meet A Retired Racer Adoption Event, Saturday, May 3rd
This year’s Pet Day celebration is slated for Saturday, May 3rd from 10AM - 3PM. Pet Day is held at Magruder Hall, located on 30th Street just west of the Merritt Truax Indoor Center on the campus of Oregon State University in Corvallis. As usual, Greyhound Pet Adoption - Northwest will have a booth, along with some greyt adoptable Greyhounds. The event is free, though some activities (pony rides, dog wash) will have a nominal fee. Pet Day activities include agility demonstrations, fun run/walk (with or without your pet), games, food, demonstrations, llamas, goats, ponies and dogs, dogs, dogs! Last year nearly 3,000 folks attended, so this is a greyt chance to educate folks about the joys of life with a Greyhound, as well as a chance to show off your pooch! Yes, leashed dogs are welcome throughout the grounds, though they are not allowed at the indoor exhibits.
Free parking is available across the street in the Reser Stadium lot.
Come celebrate the human-animal bond!

Trackinfo.com - View Your Greyhound's Races!
Trackinfo.com is a website which archives the past performances of Greyhounds and their races. If you've adopted your Greyhound within the last five years or so, you may be able to view his/her past races.
I've linked below to my Greyhound's (Keith) past races. Simply click on the "replay" button to views Keith's (admittedly mediocre) race performances.
You can search for your own pooch's races (and archived videos, if available) by searching using your grey's racing name.
Keith's (Easi Keith) races can be found here.

Greyhound Racing May Be Headed For The Finish Line
On a weekday afternoon at the Mardi Gras Casino near Fort Lauderdale, Fla., most guests are inside at the relatively new card tables and slot machines. Outside, at the 5 p.m. post time, only about a dozen people are in the grandstand.
This is what they're waiting for: The handlers lead out the greyhounds. The dogs are loaded into their starting boxes. Then eight greyhounds run in the first of 18 races.
