October Greyhound Walk

When: Sunday, October 13th @ 1:30 PM
Where:  Delta Ponds in Eugene

Let's walk at Delta Ponds to catch some fall color!
This unique natural area borders a stretch
of the Willamette River, just downstream
from Valley River Center.
For many, it is a favorite spot for
bird watching,  fishing,
and enjoying the outdoors.

We will meet at the paved parking lot
on Goodpasture Island Road,
across from the Boulders apartment complex.
As usual, we'll walk regardless of weather!

Hi Barry,

Attached are some pictures of Singh.

He was a character and we’re going to miss him a lot even though he was annoying at times.

I recall asking you to hook us up with a nice, mellow male. You gave us Singh. 😊  Marylou would sometimes ask us to remove Singh from the off-leash area of her annual picnic because Singh was acting up too much.

He broke his right foreleg in Nov of 2012. We went to OSU to have it fixed, but in early 2013 he was limping again. OSU determined that it was cancer (osteosarcoma). He had his leg amputated in March 2013 and was given 6 months. He was with us for well over six years after that. He went for a walk every day, though it was more like a “hop” with his three legs. He loved cookies and car rides and helped our grand kids clean their plates when nobody was looking.

He’s now running free on four legs with his sister Mary and two brothers he just now met, Pony and Delgado. He would have been 11 in January.
