Dog Food Recall: Supercan Bully Sticks Pig Ears Slivers

 On April 1st, 2025, Supercan recalled one lot of its Bully Sticks Pig Ears Slivers – Thick Cut Piggy Ear Slices pet treats due to Salmonella contamination. 

 

The recall followed sample-testing by the Washington State Department of Agriculture, which confirmed a positive test for Salmonella. At the time of writing, no illnesses have been reported. 

 

 

The affected product has an expiration date of November 9th, 2026. The recalled lot was distributed on April 11th, 2024 in the North 40 Outfitters store in Spokane, Washington State.

Dog Food Recall: Petdine Zesty Paws Soft Chews

 On February 17th 2025, Petdine voluntarily recalled eight different Zesty Paws Soft Chews products due to a potential contamination of Salmonella.

 

The treats and supplements include Zesty Paws Senior Advanced Probiotics Bites Gut Health and Zesty Paws Allergy & Immune Bites (see full list here). The consignment was shipped to one consignee in Illinois, with no further distribution.

Greyhound Pet Adoption-Northwest will be at Animal Crackers Pet Supply in Corvallis on Saturday, April 26th, from 11AM-2PM along with some wonderful retired racing Greyhounds for you to meet.

Representatives from GPA-NW will be on hand to answer questions about Greyhounds and/or Greyhound adoption.
