The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is warning dog owners not to feed their pets any Performance Dog frozen raw pet food after a sample tested positive for Salmonella and Listeria. These bacteria represent a serious threat to both human and animal health.

Hill's Pet Nutrition confirms the company has discontinued production and sale of its Hill's Ideal Balance dry and wet dog foods. No reason for this action has been given.

Hi folks!  Greyhound Pet Adoption-Northwest will be at Animal Crackers Pet Supply in Corvallis on Saturday, October 12th, from 11AM-1PM along with some wonderful retired racing Greyhounds for you to meet.

Representatives from GPA-NW will be on hand to answer questions about Greyhounds and/or Greyhound adoption.

Urgent Alert! Volunteer Greyhound Haulers Stuck in Kansas!

Volunteer Greyhound Haulers Stuck in Kansas

Our Haulers were supposed to return before Labor Day. The greyhound haul truck is still stuck in Kansas with a blown turbo. Fortunately, the truck broke before we picked up the dogs in Abilene. The trailer has been towed the additional 3.5 hours to Abilene to a safe place to wait for the team to arrive. 

Because of the holiday weekend the mechanic can't get the parts until later in the week. Repair estimate is about $2000 and we need to have extra hotel nights (about another $1200) , food and expenses. The soonest the team might get back on the road is Wednesday to go pick up the dogs. The volunteers are stuck waiting for the truck in a very small town with no car.
