It's time for the Corvallis 4th of July Parade!

Yes, it's time once again for the All American, Fabulous, Fantastic, Anyone-Can-Join Fourth of July Parade, which starts at 10 a.m. on Sunday, July 4th at Central Park in Corvallis.

The Willamette Valley Greyhound Lovers will assemble between 9:15 - 9:45am in front of the Corvallis Arts Center (the same place as last year). The route proceeds east along Monroe Avenue from Eighth Street to First Street, then south along First Street to Adams Avenue, then west one block to Second Street, where it continues south to the skate park.

Last year we had 23 Greyhounds, a couple of Whippets and an Italian Greyhound participate.

Bring water for your pooches and be prepared for lots of "ooooohs" and "ahhhhs" as we walk the parade route. Dashes to the sidelines for lots of pets and hugs (for the greys, of course!) are encouraged!

GPA-NW Adoption event, Saturday 6/19 - Eugene

Would you like to get up close and personal with a retired racing Greyhound? Representatives from Greyhound Pet Adoption - Northwest will be at Petco at 1169 Valley River Dr. in Eugene to answer all your Greyhound adoption questions. Come visit us from 11-2 and join in the fun and frivolity!

Corvallis Adoption Event - Sat, June 12, 10am-2pm - Animal Crackers Pet Supply

Once again you have an opportunity to get up close and personal with a retired racing Greyhound!

GPA-NW will be at Animal Crackers Pet Supply in Corvallis on Saturday, June 12th, from 10am-2pm. We'll answer all your adoption questions and introduce you to some wonderful greys. Come meet the greyhounds!

"Unofficial Meet & Greet," Sat May 22nd, Brewer's Ale Fest, Rogue Brewery, Newport, OR 1PM-3PM

Join Barry, Cuyla, Tom (his first public appearance since his surgery!) and Cassi as they stroll around Rogue Brewery, sample some microbrews, and introduce folks to the wonderful world of Greyhounds at the 4th Annual Brewer’s Memorial Ale Fest at the Rogue Brewery in Newport. Bring your pooch…on a leash, of course!

This is a 21+ event. Your $10 admission gets you an event mug and 3 beer tickets. Proceeds benefit the Central Coast Humane Society and Oregon Coast Therapy Animals.

Again, this is not an official event, but we will have brochures and business cards available to anyone interested in Greyhound adoption.

This event is a blast! It is held annually with canines in mind. Sample over 50 microbrews and hang out with cool dogs! And don’t worry about the rain. Most activity is indoors.

We'll be there from 1pm - 3pm. See you there!
