Oletta

In her June 7^th race, Oletta was in the lead when she took a spill with another dog on the first turn.  This sweet little girl came to us intermittently holding her right rear leg up.  After x-rays and examination by orthopaedic specialists, Oletta has been diagnosed with a very rare injury for Greyhounds – she has a torn cranial cruciate ligament.  This injury is common to Labs, and Goldens, who have knee issues, but in Greyhounds only occurs as the result of trauma.  Oletta will require surgical intervention to repair her injury.  We are in the process of determining the best course of action to ensure this little three-year old has a health happy retirement.
