Willowrun Rush - My first Greyhound

Bluffs Run, located in Council Bluffs, Iowa, holds some significance for me. I adopted my first Greyhound, Rush, from this track back in March, 1997. Adjacent to the Omaha, Nebraska metropolitan area, as many as 6,000 folks attended races on a daily basis. Greyhound racing ended at Bluffs Run on Friday, December 18th in front of 500 fans.

COUNCIL BLUFFS — They say every dog has its day. And for the Bluffs Run greyhound racing track, that was right out of the gate — the years right after its 1986 debut.
