WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Five special Greyhound puppies are on a mission to protect and serve those who protect and serve our community.
The dogs are six months old and are starting their training to become service animals for veterans and first responders.
On Saturday, the dogs received their service vests and showed off all the things they have learned so far.
Well, the impact is just truly amazing.
"Well, the impact is just truly amazing... you don't know what this dog means to me," said President and founder Barbara Masi.
The puppies stay at their foster homes for about a year before they start their formal training.
They still have monthly training and socialization sessions during that time.
