Urgent Alert! Volunteer Greyhound Haulers Stuck in Kansas!

Volunteer Greyhound Haulers Stuck in Kansas

Our Haulers were supposed to return before Labor Day. The greyhound haul truck is still stuck in Kansas with a blown turbo. Fortunately, the truck broke before we picked up the dogs in Abilene. The trailer has been towed the additional 3.5 hours to Abilene to a safe place to wait for the team to arrive.

Because of the holiday weekend the mechanic can't get the parts until later in the week. Repair estimate is about $2000 and we need to have extra hotel nights (about another $1200) , food and expenses. The soonest the team might get back on the road is Wednesday to go pick up the dogs. The volunteers are stuck waiting for the truck in a very small town with no car.

Please show your support with a donation: gpa-nw.org/donate.  And please thank our volunteers Jackie, Bryan and Sarah for the extra days on this trip.

You can follow updates from the trip on our Facebook page.
